What else would you do on a rainy Sat. afternoon in downtown Kingston. This was the tenth annual Welli Boot Chuck, a fund raiser for Hospice Kingston sponsored by the Kingston Brewing Company. An afternoon of fun and frivolitiy and a chance to drink some beer. Teams of 5, at least two of which shall be female, pay $25.00 per person for one chuck of the Boot each, plus a lunch and pint. Anyone not happy with their chuck may re-boot for an additional $5.00 as many times as they have the fivers. The team whose individual best chucks advance the Boot the furthest wins the coveted Welli Boot Chuck trophy. There are also trophies for things like longest individual chucks, male and female plus awards for best costumes. Alas no costumes this year.
