I travel to Grand Rapids 6 or 7 times a month, staying overnight once or twice during that time frame. These pictures have been taken from other galleries and have been grouped by category rather than chronologically. I expect this gallery to grow, as my travels will continue.

I live in Grand Rapids and I also love taking scenic pics...but it's always nice to see what others have taken shots of *s* You have some beautiful images here and I really enjoyed the ones of the river....I enjoyed reading about some of the older buildings, which I didn't really know much about and I probably have seen them most of my life...thanks again for the great website and the beautiful pictures *S*

I live in Grand Rapids, and although I'm moving soon because I hate Michigan, Grand Rapids will always always ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS have a special spot in my heart. It'll always be home, no matter how long I live out west. If you don't mind, I would like copies of ALL the Grand Rapids pictures you've taken, to put on a DVD slide show for my use. Let me know. Also, if you want more pictures, as soon as I get my Kodak EasyShare I'm taking more. Keep me posted if you want them.

PS: When I move out west I plan to take a river craft, just to be able to say I'm one of the very few who has navigated across our great country by river. Can you help with the planning? I don't know which way all the rivers between here and Los Angeles run. Maybe you have access to information I don't. All I know is the Grand runs Westward (which would be the right way if I didn't have to first go south around the Lake).

very nice pictures! I am from Grand Rapids and love to get out and snap pics of things around here every now and then. the fish ladder is great, you can always see tons of fish right around there, they are HUGE! and the astronaut(sp) has been here for a while, I dont remember why but I do remember always loving to walk down and see it..
again, very nice pictures.
