F. A. Bower House

F. A. Bower House

Mr. Bower came to Buick in 1913 as an engineer, quickly rising to the position of Chief Engineer. His French Chateau style home was in many of the Buick print ads in the 1920's. The home is in the Woodcroft Estates area in Flint, then and now Flint's most exclusive neighborhood. It is a private residence.

I just live down the street from the house. Went to school with son and daughter of the people that own the house.

This is a lovely shot. There are quite a few old fashioned buildings like that over here in the UK. Pity they build buildings to the same quality and standard anymore!

Does anyone know the address of this home? I think I know who used to own it.
Would like to know for certain.

Flint has some beautiful homes, especially from 70 -100 years ago.

Thank you.

Great composition, perfectly cropped and well-captured. I like the toning of the house and the contrast.
