Washington Park Arboretum with Canon G2 on Slik tripod. Hoya R72 Infrared pass filter, with occasional use of Tiffen .75x megaplus wide-angle converter. Raw, Tv mode, metered to get around f6.3-f8.0, most pictures bracketed 2/3 stop. Photoshop post-processing included auto levels, manual levels, saturation, and burn tool.
Shutter speeds were very slow, usually between 6 and 15 seconds. Notice that some pictures exhibit center blooming worse than others due to the G2's hot mirror.
First ever IR picture -- happens to be my favorite.
I've recently purchased the G2 and a few said not to bother IR with the G2. I stumbled across your photos and am thourgholy impressed. The G2 does take decent IR photos!
Thank You...!
I was very glad to come across your G2 IR pics. I've had my G2 for about two weeks now and IR is one of the things I want to play with. It's nice to see that it's not only possible but not much worse than IR with the G1.
