Sun prominance

Austin, Texas

Prominance photo of the sun. Taken through a Televue 85mm refractor telescope and a H Alpha solar filter with my Nikon 5000. I only had time to take a copule of pictures through my friend Richard's new scope and filter. The picture is way over exposed since I only had time to leave the camera on Auto. You can see some of the prominance around the edge of the Sun. The view of the Sun through the eyepiece without the camera was unreal.
