A Trip Around "PART" of Lake Sakakawea
I took a Sunday afternoon to travel around a huge lake here in North Dakota... part of the Missouri River.
The first bridge in sixty miles
Looking upriver the other direction
Nothing like having 75 miles of lake to waterski
A bay of the lake... water is rather low
Continuing up the bay with a boat coming in
Closeup of that cruising boat
Down the backside of the lake on a scenic highway
I didn't realize how rugged North Dakota could be
Some significant erosion work
A home in a valley
Horses on a hill
A vista

Some dimension
And some flatter spots
"A Long and Winding Road..."
Just some shots following...

A little hiccup in the road design...
I've always known there a Zap... and HERE IT IS!
The lake in the distance
I love the sign's sentiment and the name to go along with it... think there's a "named" attitude here?
An impressive crane
Strip mining for North Dakota coal
And impressive trucks to go with the crane... note the stairs in the front to give dimension.
A boat landing... a long way down to the water

The dam that creates Lake Sakakawea
I'm still traveling the long dam road back home.
