The repairs undertaken when a pin hole leak was discovered in the coolant distribution tube.
Diagnosis and dissassembly.
Stream of fluid under pressure.
Using a miror to try and get a shot.
Getting the angle and light right.
The tools required are quite few and simple
An invaluable tool, saves having to drain coolant.
Before work starts, place guard/fender covers to prevent damage.
Remove covers from engine plus inlet trunking and air box.
Suction retrieval of coolant first from expansion tank then thermo tower.
Extracted coolant still looks good
Remove top hose to gain better access to tube bolts

Relatively good condition for age.
Tiny crack opens up under heat and full pressure.
Results of good quality coolant mixed 50/50 with de-ionised water
