Kitsilano

Welcome to Kitsilano, the former hippie capital of Canada, now a vibrant, high-rent, latte-sipping, tofu-munching and green-voting seaside neighbourhood on Vancouver's West Side. Statistically, Kitsilano residents are better educated, have more disposable income and are less likely to have children than residents in other parts of Greater Vancouver. Anecdotally, they are also more relaxed and laid-back - no wonder.

Lived in the apartments at West 1st Avenue and Vine Street in the 70s. Nice to see it is still there, despite being a bit of an eyesore.

Excellent pictures of beautiful Vancouver town. Back in 2001 I was there and along Rocky Mountains, up to Calgary. I already knew , fairly well, the east coast and loved Ottawa. But west coast, in my opinion, is much more beautiful. Regards jorgte
