Richard, did you really move to Michigan? I bet you enjoyed this winter. I'm starting to get back into my genealogy again. My Mann family was so out of wack I think I might have to start over. I really appreciated what you sent to me and I'm not sure what I can add to what you have. I'll start redoing my information and if I find anything new, I'll send it to you. Keep up the great work. Don O'Toole, Chandler, Az.

I found your gallery and genealogy info on the Johnson's and William victor and his wife Alena are my great grandparents on my mothers side. She was Mary Johnson daughter to walter and viola johnson. Would so love any more history or ways to connect with other relatives. I live in minneapolis but my husband and I are planning to get to newberry michigan area this summer. Thanks Karin Chedister

Hi,

I've been going through your Johnson gallery with great interest. We are distantly related through the Skutnabba family. William Johnson's great great grandfather Jakob Johansson Skutnabba (1771-1854) is my 4xgreat grandfather.

On your Johnson page you have the brothers William (b. 1869) and Victor (b. 1874) Skutnabba. Do you have any information about their sister, Maria Sofia Skutnabba, b. 1876. According to the Ellis Island records she was also on her way to Newberry in 1900, when she landed.

Best regards,

Hi Richard, my paternal great grandmother was Katherine Stiegelmeier Portsche (Portschy) wife of Matthias Portsche. My paternal grandmother was Pauline Katherine Portsche. I am trying to find out who Katherine's parents were. Any help would truly be appreciated.

Thanks and I love your site.

Thanks for answering my plea.Robert Hendry is my grandfather and Gertrude Hall is my grandmother.Robert hall is my father and Sarah is indeed my aunt.Again many thanks.I am64 years and did not have much contact with my grandparents. I only lived briefly with my father.1year.So you see my sketch is lacking a lot of the rest of the story. Now that you have gotten me started I am going to continue the search. I think I would like to know something about you. Are you arelative? Do you know any of the people involved/ Are the employment records available? Is there any way I canfind history of Robert Hendry?
