Waigeo or Bruijn's Brush-turkey (Aepypodius bruijnii) is a rare Megapode of Waigeo Island, New Guinea; the species was described (based on traded skins) by the dutch trader Bruijn in 1880 and remained entirely unknown since then in the living world.
Rediscoverd in 2002, with some observations afterwards and first reasonable pictures made in 2007
