The subject is “Leading Line”.

Use lines to draw attention to your subject. A leading line can be almost anything: a road, path, sidewalk, fence, river, hedge, tree line or shadow. You will not find a strong leading line around every subject, but you should look for them if they are there and take advantage of them. Lines in a picture should lead into, not out of, the picture, and they should lead your eye toward the main subject.

Please give your submission a title, the more creative, the better. All entries must have a title. The Challenge is open to all members of the Olympus Talk Forum who joined before the beginning of the Challenge period and the photos must be taken with an Olympus digital or DSLR camera. The Host has elected not to submit an entry nor to participate in the voting.


The Exhibition Gallery is located here and all are encouraged to submit up to two photos.
Exhibition photos DO NOT need to be from an Olympus camera.

Challenge entries (limit 1 per member) must be taken during the challenge period starting Tuesday, July 30, 2008 and ending at 10:00 PM PDT on Tuesday, August 12, 2008.

Challenge entries and Exhibition Gallery submissions should be sent to the following e-mail address: hounnam@gmail(dot)com ((substitute . for (dot)). The submissions should be sized to 800 on long side and under 200 kb.

Please use the word “Challenge” or “Exhibition” in the subject heading.
Be sure to include you Olympus Talk Forum name and include titles for your images. Also, send the photo as an attachment as some e-mail programs strip the EXIF data from embedded images. Images without an EXIF intact will not be accepted.
