Previously having saild with Fearnley & Eger ships, and working in the Oslo office, courtesy of the Company, I was given a cross-Atlantic voyage on Fernbrook from Oslo to Churchill, Manitoba (Hudson Bay) in 1958. Emigrating to Canada with all my wordly belongings, I was signed on as a "Helper", but comfortably treated as a passenger. In return, I at times scrubbed pots in the Galley. The Cook complimented me with that the pots had not been as shiny since new!
