While shooting a wedding for Bella Pictures I wanted to try something new. We were being rushed to leave because we were apparently about 5 minutes from our deadline to leave so I did a rather sloppy setup and did not position the family members very well however the effect came out quite neat. The family is NOT in a straight line, they're actually in an arc around the camera. That means that if you look at the four middle people the two in the center (bride and groom) are in a straight line but the parents are about 8"-12" closer to the camera and this continues for everyone in the shot. Sadly, when I moved the kids from the left to the right side of the photo I somehow overlooked getting their mom properly placed. It's still pretty neat to think that the kids are almost directly across from their mom but appear to be far away in the photo.
