glowing back sunflower

the Dining Room

Hopefully this explanation makes sense. First the technical info: shot on 35mm film with a 300mm macro lense from about 6 feet. An off camera flash was hitting the flower from a slight angle down and to the right while mistakenly a sliding glass door relected the glow behind at about 8 feet back. The glow only occured in this image but it made the image much better than the rest. The photo lab then ripped the negative while cutting in haste to complete my order while I was waiting. I was just telling her that I was not in a rush when I saw the negative bunch up and subsequently rip. It only makes sense that my favorite image was the one with the destroyed negative. Only one print was made at 4x6 which has produced the scan used here.

Nikon N80 ,Quantary 70-300mm f4-5.6
Sunpack 4000 flash with Nikon SC17 cord - 1.5 seconds at f5.6 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto
