These outdoor photos were taken when it was very VERY cold. The wind whipped off the lake and cut right through my warm clothing just as it cleaned all the snow off the beach. Notice that many of the photos have either ice or sand with very little drifting. We had a lot of snow and about 500 yards from the beach there were feet of snow but right next to it there was virtually none. In addition, there was a guy who stopped me less then 10 pictures into it to tell me there was a family of bald eagles up the channel a few miles. He suggested I go snap pictures so here's a series of 6 shot really close in time. I've never seen such things let alone taken pictures of them. My rarely used 300mm lense came in handy and the Servo Tracking focus on the Nikon, also rarely (if ever) used worked beautifully.
