1938 Chevy 5 window

My 1938 Chevy 5 window coupe bought it in 1970. Photo taken at about
6:30 PM. I remember. You can see the sun setting to the right in the west.

This is the year I ran away to Los Angles California and stayed with Curtis Davis. Curtis was the
cousin of Kirk King who lived on Sleepy Hollow Lane in Sheldon just east of the railroad tracks.
Curtis was up visiting his cousin Kirk King and he told me that if it ever got to rough and I needed
a place to stay I could come stay with him in Upland California. A week or two later I ran away to
LA for the summer of 1970. I stayed with Kevin Conroy and his mom and dad and sister Patty and
other sister, I believe her name was ? I am not sure. Kevin’s nick name was “cornball” and I often
wonder what ever happened to the Conroy’s whereabouts. Curtis Davis drown during the early to
mid 70’s as recorded in the Elk Grove Citizen newspaper. Curtis drown in the Consumes river or the
Sacramento river I do not recall. Kirk King currently lives in the Elk Grove area I think. I lived with
Cornball and his family for the whole summer of 1970. I attended school in Rancho Cucamonga body
and fender school through the Man Power and Development training program established I believe by
Jimmy Carter in 1968 ?? . I dated Chris Canestro who lived in Upland with her brother Al and their
parents. I saw Jimi Hendrix at the San Bernardino coliseum in one of his last concerts. He died Sept. 17,
1970 of a drug overdose. Jimi Hendrix was one of the greatest guitar players in the world. He played a right
handed guitar left handed and current photos of today show that fact. Why not create a left handed guitar?
I have been ordering Jimi Hendrix music now for the last year or so. http://www.jimi-hendrix.com
Hart Gerlinger also lives in Sacramento and I have current contact with him. With Woody Radcliff too.
I drove this car to LA and ended up selling it for $100.00 and my mother paid $700.00 for it in EG.
