Text on the back. Spring 1961.
This picture was taken when Milton Elwyn
was in the Oak Knoll Hospital in Oakland
and shows the 7 Knapps at that time, --
some 10 years ago.

The little boy in front is the one that
died. He had finished eighth grade,
and had grown to double his weight of
this picture. The older boy is as tall
as I am now. - in Phoenix, married now,
Really in business of his own now.

I shall try to get some later pictures
for you one of these days.

The mother is an R.N. and works nights
in a Sacramento Hospital. (Sutter General 4 East).

Milton does look sick here, but he is
so much better, --up at 6 or before in
the morning, takes two or three short
hikes a day, helps in the laundry,
ironing, shop at printing. But he has
to have direction, and companionship.

Smaller boy is the one who died.
