The Elephant Rock in the evening twilight clearly visible from Madurai at 12km and at the feet of this mountain rock the granite quarry.
You see only one quarter of this quarry here and the size of it you can find out by the tiny people (see the middle of the scene) working there still late in the evening while the moon was already up.

Impossible to come here for someone who is afraid of height, the small entering road crosses enormous deep ravines of quater pits on both side of the sandy road, one slip with the motorbike and there you go, frightening.
