I was a little bit disappointed when I arrived in late afternoon in Munnar on a rather dark cloudy day, so this view reflects best how I experienced this town in the mountains, a real contrast with the clear green surroundings. Lucky a day later there was a lot of sun keeping your eyes away from all the dirt, papers and plastic people are throwing into the riverside.

Munnar means in Tamil munnu= three, ar=river and indeed this is the place where three rivers joint together, the Madupetti, Nallathanni and Periavaru. On three of the hills surrounding the city, religions are represented by a Catholic Church, a Mosque and a Hindu Temple competing for the religious zeal from the people downtown praying all to the same God :).

Time to take in some spices provisions like Cardamom essence, perfect taste with a few drops in tea.
