The Tailor

Madurai

Sahoboudine, the smallest tailor of the Bazaar.
The Bazaar is right in front of the west-side of the Meenakshi Temple.

He was busy finishing a loungi, a loin-clothe, and behind him there were some colored umbrella's they use for the local village dance festivals while his father was taking a nap on the ground next to him ... (so no crop here).

He is one of the so many tailors in the Bazaar sitting next to each others in one corridor in front of the tissue shops, so no escape as you pass through as a foreigner. It's fun to sit with them to watch all those western ladies fitting trousers and blouses in silk or cotton. Everything is made on the spot within a few minutes let's say like fast-food tailors.

Indeed a flash from some distance as it is always very dark here, wondering how they manage to get the threat in the needle.
