The original story was, my friend bought a bike shop 10 years ago. The previous owners had bought this frame, as a complete bike from Calfee. It was built up with Dura Ace. They stripped the parts for another build and put the frame in storage in the shop. My friend saw this frame when he bought the shop, threw some Shimano parts on it and hung it on the wall, and there is stayed until a few weeks ago when he sold the shop and retired. he took his favorites from inventory as part of the sale, took all the parts off and I'm helping him sell it. You can see from the pictures that it's NOS. There isn't a mark on it, it's never seen the light of day and never been ridden. I've already been in touch with Craig Calfee who helped clarify a few things. First, as you may know, he built 18 of these for Team Z. What most people don't seem to know is that he built 200 more of these frames for sale. The serial number tells the story. So it's rare, especially NOS, but it's not the ultra rare "one of 18".
