Birds on a Wire.jpg

There are so many talented photographers here on PBase. Many of you have been a
source of inspiration with breathtaking vistas, wonderous patterned images, and
beautiful compositions. I dedicate this shot to Jennifer Nicholson, not because
she thought of this challenge and also hates shooting in b/w, but because she
has inspired my photography with a sense of freedom and movement in hers.
She has a natural ability to break the rules for a great shot and create
photos without limitations! A love of photography always shines through,
and that is the most important ingredient!

A gallery of dedications and inspirations of others might be a great idea too.
I try visiting as many as time allows but can hardly keep up with everyone,
thank you all!

Wow ~ I commented on this in October 2008, but seeing it again, I really like it! I like that you chose to place the birds near the top of the frame ~ it gives a sense of the height.

WOW Bill...
I am so honored with your kind words.
Thank you so much for this.

Okay, I am going to go name all the birds now! ;o)

Nicely seen. As a small comment: I think if it were me, I would've put the wire in the bottom half of the frame. I now get an ever so slight claustrophobiac feeling in when looking at this picture: the birds seem cramped between the wire and the top of the frame.
