In Auckland here, ours tanks have been painted many colours and patterns, and make quite a good display

It would be nice if they could be painted as some sort of Public Art project. We have a lot of oil tanks (being Texas) and wells. One town painted them all. The oil wells were dolphins or shamu, going up and down. Pretty cool.
