For water storage, I reused a bunch of 2.5 gallon water containers that they sell in grocery stores. They actually worked really well for doing dishes and cleaning up because they didn't require any electricity to dispense the water. For drinking water, I used one gallon water bottles and stored them below ground with my ice chest which helped to keep the water relatively cool on hot summer days.
