Nice stuff ;) Thanks for sharing
My name is Piotr. I wrote from Poland.
I saw your photos made by c5050 and g3 on pbase. They are great. The topic, the frame, sharpness, contrast, saturation, color balance are excellent for me. Technically, the pictures are good as I like my to be. I'm wondering of buying c5050 or g3 camera from canon and I would like to ask you what kind of filters and camera set-up (sharpness, saturation, etc.) do you use.
I'd be glade for your help how to use c5050 and g3 to make so perfect photos.
Hi, I am a G3 owner from Taiwan. Your photos are really great!:) You really catch such blue sky, clear water, beautiful trees...etc.
Thanks to you I have just purchased a G3. Had no idea about digital cameras. Knew I wanted some control, not just point and shoot. Did have Arno Minkenen as a teacher of basic 35mm photography but am not interested in paper. Your photographs are lovely to look at but also show the creative eye of the photographer as well. Thank you
Oh my god !! your G3 pictures are so nice !! much better the 5050 .
I'm having a G3 and i am re-considering to sell it away after looking at your photos! Maybe i should keep it and buy another optional camera if need arises.
Gorgeous pictures! Can we get these images? I'd love to print them up and decorate my place with them! (I'm getting an S400, so I hope some of that Canon quality that shows in your pictures will rub off on this one too!)
Son unas fotos fantasticas .
I'm so excited about recieving my G3 in a few weeks, but looking at your gallery makes me even more excited. I'm dreaming about the day it arrives!!!
Great shots. Keep up the good work. Colors and composition is very nice.
Do you use any type of lense attachment to make your pictures come out so good? I am returning the S40 and getting the G3. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Your photos are beautiful. They helped me make the decision to buy a G3, and I love it! Thanks for sharing these examples of your work with this camera.
nice pics man
but those pics did u do a sharpness editing?
Beautiful shots. Thanks for sharing. I think G3 is in right hands. ARRA
All I can say is: INCREDIBLE!! *thumbsup*
Very, very beautiful! Io sono un tuo vero ammiratore! Complimenti.
Impressive photos. I am considering the G3 but would like to see more low light and indoor photos to evaluate the apparent autofocus problem that several reviews discuss. Do you have any indoor photos with the G3?

Dear Sir! Thank you kindly for sharing your magnificent images with us. From you pictures I see that you live around the Bay area! The visions of Yosemite are truly enchanting. Currently I own the G2 which is a fine camera but the detail in the G3 surpasses it nicely. Regrettably I can not attach a picture to this message as I would like to share one of my photos with you as a thank you for your generosity and kindness. Thank you again. With warm regards, Hans H Mueller
You're still one of my favorites on Pbase -- Great images! The G3 is obviously a fine camera, but you'd be doing beautiful work with a Pin Hole Camera. I'm amused by the inquiries about how much Photoshop enhancement you've done -- no one looks at an Ansel Adams image and asks, "How much of that was done in the dark room?" Just as analogue photography is a marriage of photographer, camera, and darkroom; so digital photography is a marriage of photographer, camera, and computer. Keep up the great shooting!
Beautiful pictures! They have served to me as much! They brought many memories to me of my wonderful trip years ago to California!
I´m impatiently waiting for the arrival of the G3 to spanish market!
Greetings from Canary Islands, Spain.
hello bob I looked again.... :-) great fotos! regards magus
Bravo! absolutely stunning. Very rarely the photographer is one with the camera and you have mastered that to perfection. beautiful images.
We have a lot to learn from your photographs!
I am impressed with the camera, but even more impressed by the photographer! If you gave the G3 to an somewhat experienced amateur, do you think they can accomplish nearly the same image quality (I don't mean the artistic composition) that you obtained? Without software enhancements?
Very good pictures, it is possible to see indoor qualitys of the G3?
Jeez Bob, you must travel 730 days a year based on the tremendous variety of pics and the relatively short time the D3 has been out.
Your pictures have convinced me to buy one despite any negative reviews I have read.
I've been using film all along (even now) since I have not been impressed by the image
quality of Digital photos. These pictures changed my mind! Beautiful pictures they make my heart ache. I am thinking of Canon G3.........
Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely awsome photos. How much of these are you vs the camera. I'm an old A-1, AE-1 user. I'm intending to do most work these days as fun and wish to use the Auto setting as much as possible. What is your opinion (since you obviously know what you are doing) on the photos you take prior to any alteration if that's what you end up doing. Thanks. SM
Absolutely amazing photos and landscapes in these pics. I'd love to shoot in places like that. I'm getting my G3 in a weeks time and then i'm off into the wild =)
Nice to see the real power behind the camera (and the photographer). Talent indeed.
Fantastic...beautiful images! This is what I dream to be able to achieve one day...a pity that the camera doesnt do it all by itself...I fear I may be the limitation in the equation! :o) Thanks for your inspirational images, it is always nice to see something to aim for.
Hmmm -- my mistake.... After a closer look, I think the clouds just moved from left to right between the two photos, so most of what I'm seeing is the blue sky behind the treetops.
How do you like the G3? The photos from it look very nice.
I've been hearing a lot of users complaining about purple fringing (chromatic aberrations/CCD Blooming) with the G3 on the forums lately.
I noticed that in your photos, sharpening seems to play a role.
In your last two photos (same shot, with different sharpening settings), I see a lot of fringing (in upper tree) in the photo with Neutral Sharpening, but most of it vanishes when strong sharpening is applied.
Were their any other settings changed between the two shots? Have you noticed that Sharpening seems to impact fringing?
Thanks in advance.
P.S. - Don't take this as being negative towards the camera.. I've owned a Nikon 950, Nikon 950, Olympus C-2500L, Epson 3000Z, and Sony F505.. They ALL have the problem to some extent! Today's cameras are probably much better at handling the problem compared to the older ones.
Since I'm looking for a new digicam, I'm considering the Canon G3 (as well as several others now, including the Nikon 4500, Nikon 5700, Sony 717). I'm just trying to examine pros and cons of each.
Thanks again, and Best Wishes!
Hi Bob. I see you are using the G3 now. How do you like it? I was pleasantly surprised when I made my first (8x10 and 12x18) prints with the G2. Very nice quality for those little cameras (I think). Tom
all your galleries are very nice! thanks, wonderfull fotos!!!
Excellent (as usual) pictures, Bob !
Thanks NB. I haven't had the opportunity to evaluate the macro capabilities or movie mode yet. But I plan on experimenting with them in the next few days. I will post some macro samples as soon as I have some...Bob
