Carlo, thanks for the nice comments, this image was taken at the upper end of the Chimneys Day Use area in the Great Smoky National Park.

I took several shots concentrating on the mid range or distant objects, normally I would chose one of those but I liked the up close focus of this shot with the OOF background

It's the kind of place I love to visit. Must be a gorgeous footpath leading to that bridge. Where is this? Colors and lighting is perfect. The greys and dark blue on the rocks is awesome. I can almost reach into my monitor a pick one up. I'm almost expecting to see a deer peeking it's head off from the side. Very nice Rich.

Colin, around here the mosquitoes tend to be active in the evening so I got out unscathed. The ranger told me that this wash is very short and is normally dry except when it rains.

Marc, I shot raw and convert to TIFF in Oly master 2 and normally complete the process in ps7 but this is the first image I have processed in my new CS2 and used the exposure tool, quite nice. It would have been more difficult to get this color and tonal look in ps7..

Looks like a really nice spot, the sort of shday damp place where I get eaten alive by insects!
It's not that often you can get that low down in a stream and not get wet!
