Holy ...! This thing is ancient. Wonderful shot -- and it makes me very sad that such a remarkable vehicle is in such a state of ruin. But it definitely fits the theme. I wonder how the original owner would feel if he (or she) could see it now?

Colin, I can only imagine the ride in one of these. I don't see any kind of damper but i'm sure they used leaf springs back then. But with the old cobblestone roads of the time. Yes, I'm sure it would rattle my fillings loose.

Look at the solid spokes and hard rubber on the wheel, riding in this must of been a real bone shaking experience!

Thanks my friends.
Shirley, The A designation was for the first car produced by Ford in 1903. The Model T was colloquially known as the "Tin Lizzie". I cheated. got that from wikipedia. And from the looks of this baby, she's not going anywhere anymore. Part of curiosities at a winery we visited last summer.

I just like how they seem to just turn into a part of the surroundings. A nice old Model A (I'm guessing) Hey, do you know what the T and A stood for in Model-T and Model-A? I don't, but am curious.

Geez, Carlo, I like this. The old thing has been around the block a few times, eh? But no more, not with that axle! :-)

Really like that one, Carlo. --Jan
