I voted for this as the best of the lot for several reasons. The composition is so dramatic and astonishing. The take on the theme is spot on. The lighting, the sky and specially the bridge itself, it's just perfect. It's all been said with the comments below and them some. This is the winner in my eyes.

What can I do? We don't have architecture like this, I don't have the time to go out anyway, so i can only make scary faces for the challenge.
This one is....You know....!

All the comments I try to write about this photo sounds to me to be obvious; my low English level don't allows more.
Simply, I like it. A lot. endika

Gee! This image almost made me not trying for this competition. It's just so beautiful!

I like the lines and points (light sources on the bridge). And the colors are just brilliant. The slight wide-angled perspective leads our eyes to travel from left to right, no exit from the bridge until the end of the journey.

Marc, I'm speechless! Everything about this photo is just perfect: composition, colors, sharpness, exposure..... just everything.

Marc - I've waited until I've looked at this photo at least 6 times before commenting. IMHO this photo is truly a masterpiece of nighttime long exposure. The exposure is perfect, capturing all huge array of light sources without any single point dominating the shot. I especially enjoy the details, such as the converging blue warning lights on the bottom of the bridge. If there is anything at all that could be improved, a _slightly_ wider angle that incorporated the foreground right side abutment. Truly an inspirational shot.

This photo always draws me back. I still say WOW!!! The clouds in the background is so unreal(just awesome) that it accentuates the detail of the bridge which in itself is so futuristic. I live in a small cowtown and wish we had someting like this.

Thanks ! This is actually south, looking north. The sun sets on the left side, and the lights at the bottom are Le Havre.

C'est une image fantastique!!!!
40 seconds - wow, it may have been windy and cloudy but it worked so well to bring such drama into the sky. I didn't know you could get down to the bridge supports, is this on the north side looking south?
Carlo 11-Nov-2007 00:11
Wow, and I mean, had to pick up my jaw. This is fantastic.

Marc, you really can blow us away with some beautiful sights! Such a great angle and look how those lights bounce off the cables! The sky is great, the bridge is great and yes it was definately worth it. What a shot!
