I agree with you, Shirley!
I've heard that there's a religion in the India in which the followers embrace the trees. It would be a nice religion for me... endika

Very funny. I think trees need to know that we are not all out to get them :-) It is amazing to go out into an old grove at night and feel their energy. Great shot - great way to be! brent

Love it Shirley, and the high ISO in bright conditions has given it a contrasty look that works very well with the subject.
I'm forbidden by my daughter to hug trees and standing stones ;-)
Flick.

Thanks very much Charlie. The comments about the exposure is especially nice to hear, since I sorta screwed up on this. I don't know HOW but I bumped the ISO to 800, and was too cold or old (lol) to notice. I did notice that I had to set the shutter speed unreal fast to get a decent exposure. It was a sunny day, ISO 800 wasn't needed! I just hurried up, got the tree without me looking good, scratched my head at the 4000 and took the picture. This tree was a leaner and I left it like it naturally was.

It is I!!! The sneak a hug from a tree person!! Truly I do love trees very much. I hope before I leave this world I will get a chance to go see the big Red Woods.
