I find that in this one, the eyes dominate. It's compelling for that reason - the directness of her gaze, the strong body language. But I agree with Shirley; I prefer the first one as well.
This has a very futuristic look to it. Her vest looks like a cross between denim and dazzle! I like this but I think I prefer the lighting a bit more in the previous shot.
