I think this works well Stefan. I keep meaning to play with PP shallow DOF...

Thanks, everyone. Yes, the blurring was done in PP and is kind of helter skelter, to leave some things recognizable. I'm not sure how well it really works, but it was an experiment worth doing, methinks. By the way, "Epilogue of the Raindrops" is an Icelandic novel that is both intriguing and bizarre - I'd like to string together a couple of hours to finish it!

And surrounded by a nice cozy chair too! I love the way you managed to put the focus in just the right spot to draw the viewer into the picture. It's like the real world has melted away while you live in the world of a good novel.

Ha, yes I agree, very good take on the theme, nicely shot too.

Great take on the theme, and a nicely executed shot with the focus just on the right spot.( I guess we're talking unfocusing in PP ?)

I have had 10 minutes of Terry Pratchett as a nightcap for years. Too bad he had to quit. I might have to reread the entire diskworld series.

Yes, used to read for hours, and now about 10 minutes when I go to bed. I like the use of selctive focus to add that dreamy quality Stefan. Alistair

I like this one to. I have the same problem with time. I try and read in bed and then wake myself up when the book goes thunk on the floor I also land up having to panelbeat my specticals as I for get to take the off.
