here you can see a crop of the upper left side of an image. although stopped down to 3.5 the left side is totally unsharp. i would never expect something like this from a leica-branded lens.

Totally unacceptable...I was considering this as an upgrade from the FZ18.... I want a small lightweight camera with wide angle, macro and long zoom capabilities...don't like the idea of having to carry extra lenses but if I can get better shots than the FZ18 in low light, I would be happier.
