I thought for a moment that this was going to be the true identity of the globe in the earlier shot, "A Touch of Frost." But looking more closely I see that it's not. This one is less about the reflected world than the properties of the glass itself. And none the less enchanting because of it. Like many captivating macro shots, this one reveals fine subtleties a person would never notice at regular size---the abraded edge of the decanter's lip, the thickness of the glass in the stopper and the compressed reflections where the glass bends. Another beauty!
