The Winter Wren L 9-10,5cm (3.5-4.1") breeds in woodland and gardens with dense ground vegetation. It is a very small bird with a funny small and short spiky tail which is always held cocked up. The back is red-brown to cinnamon-brown, the under part is beige and finely dark barred. The bill is pretty long, pointed and slightly curved. The eyebrow is light-beige. |
