Since most of my photos are taken at extreme distances and usually under adverse conditions for my equipment, I thought I'd throw in a close up. As usual, Wilson's Snipe immatures think they can't be seen even when standing right out in the open. The pattern of the wing coverts is the only distinguishing feature enabling you to age this species. (besides the youngster's overly trusting nature:o)
