This head on shot is some what exaggerated but again shows small light head, longer tail and secondary bulge but also shows the typical dihedral these bird exhibit which is very unlike the flat plane that Bald Eagles hold their wings when gliding. The Golden Eagle at a distance can be mistakenly IDed as a Turkey Vulture. The difference being that a Turkey Vulture is very light weight and rocks back and forth where all eagles are rock steady even in a good wind.
