Here again the thick head and neck plus steep forehead and bill attitude are evident. The bird came into roost that evening in the middle of a pod of 20 Common Loons and gave the impression of a mother goose and goslings. A few birders there had gone down to Georgia to see that YB and all agreed this bird appeared much larger. At different times it was seen with Red-throated and Pacific loons.
