Here is an in-flight shot showing the underwing of a Thayer's at Pickwick Dam. Note the silvery almost concolored appearance. Lighting has a lot to do with this and in certain light some Herring can show underwings almost as light but usually not as uniform. I've had Thayer's at this location almost every year since 1996.
