Just a week after the pair showed up in the marsh for the second time, the male reappeared this time over in one of the retaining pools. Third time was a charm for Gail King as she was out of town for the last to appearances. The bird took off and circled the marsh and went down. When we got over there, I told her that both of the previous times they were found resting between two clumps of weeds. Gail immediately said "well there he is" right back in the same place. The bird fed over into another area after checking us out.
I would not bet against her showing up in a week or so with some young in tow!
