These galleries are currently under construction with an anticipated completion date of April 2008, please bear with me and keep checking back for updates. Once this initial phase is completed I will continually add more photos to fill in the gaps in species, ages, plumages, document rare birds and add new galleries. These galleries are devoted to birds of Oklahoma, as that is my passion. If you are interested in Oklahoma birds and their identification I think that you will find these galleries useful. Eventually, I will add information about their status and distribution as well. The quality of the photos in these galleries vary greatly, but my object is to document various ages and plumages for many species, rare birds, hybrids, etc. Over time some photos will be replaced with better quality ones while others will remain to document records. My 35mm photos, taken with various Nikon F series cameras, were scanned digitally. My early digital photos were digiscoped using a Nikon Coolpix 995 camera handheld to a Leica Televid 77mm APO scope. I still use this setup today to photograph rare or unusual birds at great distances. Currently I use both a Sony Cybershot DSC-H5 and a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50 with a Sony VCL DH-1758 1.7x extender. While I have tried to be as accurate as possible on aging species, I am sure that I have made some mistakes or input errors.
