--- Over 100 British and American soldiers re-occupy Old Fort Niagara and present a weekend of programming focused on the War of 1812. -- This conflict saw the last shots fired in anger at the Fort, as British soldiers staged a daring pre-dawn attack on December 19, 1813, to wrest the post from American hands. --- The Fort's garrison flag, taken by the British is 1813, is now proudly displayed in the new Visitor Center.

The highlight of the weekend was the evening battle demonstration, where the events of the 1813 capture of the Fort will be recreated.
