Hi Richard ...
My Olympus 750 wont turn on at all. The batteries are fine - I've tested the batteries and they are good. Since you know this camera I thought I'd ask if you have any ideas for me to try.
Thanks
Debbie

Now I remember. I am sure that is what my Oly 750 is going to tell me after I operate on it per you to change out the mem-cap. Thanks for the memories Richard. And a tip of the hat to ya.

Hi Richard, what luck to find your photos on the C-750.
I have my sister-in-law's C-770, that the shutter button only engages the pre-focus but will not take the picture. the zoom control works, but the control appears loose and not seated correctly. The shutter button also doens't have the half-way click, just the full press to pre-focus.
You think there's any hope in opening this and maybe finding something to fix ?
I also have a C-750, with the capacitor problem, so will study your photo set to give that a try.
Thanks again.

Hello from Germany, Richard!
The repairservice of Olympus Hamburg wantet to sell me the adjustment of the view-monitor, the exchange of the motive-switch (difficult to operate)and the capacitor of my C-740UZ for 249,- EUR. What a luck, that i found your repair-tips! The capacitor which is selled by Digi-Keys isnīt available in Germany, but I can get one similarly for only 1,55 EUR. And the two mechanicle problems I solved yesterday... Thanks a lot!

Richard,
Thanks a million for the technical photos in your gallery! My C-740's memory capacitor had gone, and, besides all the helpfull posts on the web which helped me arrive at the diagnosis in the first place, your C-750 photos made replacing it an absolute snap! Good work!
