Petersen Automotive Museum -- "Fantasies in Fiberglass," August 2010

For me, a visit to the Petersen Automotive Museum is an indispensable part of any trip to Los Angeles. There is always a lot to see, with exhibits changing and individual cars coming and going. This gallery is the fifth of five on my 2010 visits. It features "The Fantasies in Fiberglass" exhibit held from Feb. 28 through Oct. 3, 2010.

Shown here are cars on loan from various collectors, automobiles donated to the Petersen Museum, and cars from the impressive Margie and Robert E. Petersen Collection, which is distinct from the museum's collection. For more information, visit the museum's Web site at http://www.petersen.org .

I shot the photos in this gallery with a handheld Nikon D300 and a Nikkor 18-200mm VR zoom. All are as-is, straight from the camera, with no post-processing -- except for three pictures whose captions have the initials BR, which mean that brightness adjustments were applied to them.
