Since 1980, the Porsche Club of America has dedicated one weekend each year to the presentation of technical information on Porsches ranging from the classics to the latest models. The 2016 event was held on March 5 and 6 in Easton, PA, with attendance limited to 125 PCA members per day. The venue was the Northeast Regional Support Center of Porsche Cars North America. This facility serves as a training center for Porsche dealers' mechanics and sales personnel. It also houses PCNA's parts and accessories warehouse for the northeastern United States and Canada.

Among the topics covered by this year's Tech Tactics was the new powertrain technology of the latest 911 Carrera and Carrera S (Type 991.2), which will start to appear in dealer showrooms in late March as 2017 models. The other topics included the PCM 4.0 connectivity features of the newest crop of Porsches, Michelin's tire technology, "Barn Find 101," Porsche classic parts and the newly introduced Cayman GT4 Clubsport race car.
