This was one of the Ford GT40 Mark IIs that competed in the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans. Its chassis no. is XGT1. It was prepared by Shelby American for the British racing organization Alan Mann Racing. "Driven by Sir John Whitmore and Frank Gardner, it retired after five hours, apparently because of clutch problems," according to Fred Simeone. It is one of the few fully restored automobiles in Fred's collection, which are predominantly original survivors.

Sensational capture of its lively yellow color and a great angle to emphasize its dynamic nature. ~BV~
