Cars From the Nicola Bulgari Collection -- America On Wheels Museum, July 2009

The one-year-old America On Wheels Museum in Allentown, Pennsylvania, offered, as one of its main attractions in 2009, a visiting exhibit featuring some cars from the Allentown-based half of the Nicola Bulgari Collection. The other half is in Rome, the hometown of Bulgari, an Italian jeweler who is fond of classic American automobiles from the 1930s and the 1940s. The Bulgari show opened on April 13 and closed on Nov. 9, 2009.

For more information on this exhibit and the museum, visit http://www.americaonwheels.org . For more information about Bulgari and his garage, search for an article and photos that appeared on Architectural Digest magazine in 2008 (former Web links no longer any good). I shot the photos in this gallery on July 11, 2009, with my handheld Nikon D300 and Nikkor 18-200mm VR zoom. All are straight-from-the-camera images with no post-processing applied. However, I did resize all of the photos for online viewing.
