Pebble Beach Concept Cars, Prototypes and Others -- August 2010

Among the sideshows at every Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance are displays of concept cars, prototypes, new automobiles and other vehicles. I've selected a number of them for this gallery. One -- the Porsche Cayman -- has been around since 2005, but I'm including a 2011 Cayman here because it's the No. 1 target of one of the new cars this year -- the 2011 Lotus Evora.

I shot the photos in this gallery with a handheld Nikon D300 and a Nikkor 18-200mm VR zoom. Some are marked CR or BR in their captions, which indicate that cropping or brightness adjustments were done. The rest are as-is, straight from the camera, with no post-processing.
