A cup-shaped ascomycete which splits into rays as it expands and grows in soil specifically beneath cedars. The latter is an almost certain indication of which Geopora you have, as there are other species similar to it. It has been found on about 3 other occasions in Nottingham gardens. Probably prefers light sandy soil. Uncommon. Found by Alison Linton.
