Some careless buggah ran into me about a month ago
I was driving home in the Green Goddess.
They drove straight through a junction
and now the GG languishes awaiting her fate.
The insurance has agreed to pay up
but they insist the GG can't be repaired.
It drove perfectly well the 20 miles home
and I have a wing, headlamp, bonnet and bumper ready to be bolted on.
After 222 000 miles though, it may be the end for the GG.
You can't argue with these people.
Meanwhile, I've managed to find a bargain.
A bit newer and posher than the GG
and well maintained.
Bought for the price of a couple of frothy coffees
and certified roadworthy for a year ahead.
She came home last night.
Tamsin immediately named her Janet.
