12th January 2007
blustery day at Balquhain

This little corner of the world is being battered
by gusty winds and blustery showers
I took a walk up around Balquhain,
to have a break from reading
and had to hold on to my hat.
I find the wind very exciting
Mrs N thinks it makes me a bit batty
as indeed, apparently, does the full moon
and months with an 'R' in them.

Beautiful scene. To be outdoors at the beginning of a thunderstorm is one of life's great pleasures.

Great composition and sepia tones. Very dynamic image even at first looks static. The lines contributing so great. Vote.

How does Mrs N know it's the wind that makes you batty?
LM Gildersleeve12-Jan-2007 20:16
I don't think I've read the word 'blustery' since I read The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh to my children. It's a great word. I love the sun on the house and fields. Nicely captured.

Batty or not, this is excellent...conveys the "cold."
